Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge

We are currently seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to lead our amazing staff in providing top notch customer service and prescription care to the community.
Candidates must have a winning attitude, should be highly motivated, and have a passion for providing excellent patient based customer service. As well as, being able to gain knowledge of the specialty products sold.
Position is ultimately responsible for the management of all facets within independent retail pharmacy.
Position is full time exempt with a comprehensive benefits package which includes , paid time off, 6 holidays, access to group medical, dental, and vision, life and disability and 401K retirement plan with a company match after 6 months.
Store hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:30pm and Saturday 9am-1pm with occasional need to work additional hours based on business needs. Closed on Sunday.

Responsible for management of all retail operations at assigned store. Supervises staff and performs required administrative duties. Critically reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy and suitability. Consistently implements approved procedures for mixing, packaging, labeling and dispensing of pharmaceuticals to meet legal requirements and ensure quality and security. Provides information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and medication storage to patients and health care personnel. Monitors patient compliance to insure optimal therapy outcomes and minimize harmful effects. Appropriately orders and purchases pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and drugs. Works with technical staff to maintain adequate inventories and assure proper handling and storage. Maintains records, as required. Educates patients to help manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, etc. Advises and trains customers on the selection and use of equipment and supplies. Refers patients to other health professionals and agencies when appropriate. Provide status reports on operations and patient billing to COO, as directed. Reviews all negative prescription profits and collaborates with the Pharmacist on Duty to make decisions to re-submit claim, dispense, etc. Makes sure all necessary information is included and requirements are met on new prescriptions. Ensures all Cll prescriptions are signed and dated by the Pharmacist on Duty. Assists with inventory management. Provides extraordinary customer service at all times, and be a productive team member. The position is expected to be an integral part of the daily operations of the pharmacy by providing support and assisting in daily activities. Must be able to greet customers in store with a smile and answer the phone within 2 rings. Communicate in a friendly, patient and professional manner at all times. Answer routine phone questions/issues and properly assess customers’ needs to refer them to product and / or service. Properly direct customer inquiries, when unable to assist, to the appropriate party. ( i.e . Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician). Walk patient to products and communicate appropriately regarding such. Open and close POS system to include, but is not limited to, counting money, separating charge slips, vouchers and coupons. Able to balance the cash drawer and create deposits. Receive and process all payments according to standard procedures set forth by the company. Assist in opening and closing of retail location, to include but is not limited to, dusting, cleaning and organizing. Candidate must be able to price, arrange and display signs and products as directed. Must be able to receive and scan incoming product. Ensure pricing in POS is accurate and up-to-date. Maintain and organize back stock. Actively work with merchandising staff from Pierce Pharmacy Management to prepare for sales and promotions and be a resource for other staff members regarding same. Arrange store to store transfers, special orders and out-of-stock items. Assist with coordinating, packing, and organizing patient deliveries. Consistently complete all assignments in a timely manner and maintain a clean and safe work place for co-workers and customers. Must communicate professionally, in both oral and and written form with vendors, healthcare professionals, customers and other staff members. Must be able to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment. Presents a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code. Be on time for shifts, returning from breaks, observe and avoid overtime. Treat fellow team members with respect at all times. Must be flexible and responsive to perform these and other duties, as assigned.
Work Experience Requirements
Must possess a current license to practice pharmacy with the State Board of Pharmacy. Two years’ experience in retail pharmacy, immunization certification, current BLS certification, and non-sterile compounding preferred.
Minimum B.S. Pharmacy degree
