General Description

  • Assists with marketing communication requests including a wide variety of media (social media, websites, flyers, post cards, posters, letters, print ads, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Merchandising including but not limited to maintaining physical and electronic files, maintaining project status reports, data mining and secondary research.
  • Ability to use existing communication examples to create, organize, edit and copy marketing materials that adhere to company brand standards.
  • Ensuring that print/digital copy is factually accurate by proofing/editing as well as making sure it is appropriate for the target audience.
  • Assist with facilitating smart and timely management of digital content; assuring the information is not only accurate, but strategically coordinated with ongoing messaging agendas.
  • Assist with event coordination and support.
  • A resource for ‘outside the box’ examples, trends and techniques for today’s best practices in marketing communications.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to engage in creative discussions to help develop marketing strategies for our retail businesses.
  • Must be literate on all popular social media platforms and develop successful strategies to engage current and potential customers.
  • Must be self-motivated, maintain a positive outlook and function well in a team environment.
  • This individual is also expected to represent the company by projecting a professional image at all times.
  • Some public speaking, teaching and training may be required.
  • Must also have skills to promote and sell multiple product lines.
  • Preparation will include sales report development and analysis.
  • Must effectively prioritize tasks and set goals to work efficiently and productively.
  • The position will assist in merchandising activities including but not limited to the order and set up merchandise/displays, prepare for promotions and special events, assess success of initiatives, etcetera and therefore must meet basic physical requirements for doing so (mobility, lift up to 30 pounds).

Work Experience Requirements

  • Candidates should possess one year of similar work experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented, highly observant and be able to multitask.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
