General Description |
Work under the supervision of the Pharmacist on Duty and Lead Technician. Primarily responsible for working at the prescription intake/drop-off counter, receiving and typing new prescriptions and processing refills, as needed. Reviews all negative prescription profits and collaborates with the Pharmacist on Duty to make decisions to resubmit claim, dispense, etc. Makes sure all necessary information is included and requirements are met on new prescriptions. Insures CII prescriptions are signed and dated by the Pharmacist on Duty. Assists with inventory management. Provides extraordinary customer service, at all times. Communicates in a friendly, patient and professional manner. Comply with all Federal, State and local laws as it pertains to being a registered and/or certified pharmacy technician. Knowledgeable of HIPAA. Able to fill in competently at other positions, as needed or assigned. Must be flexible and responsive to perform these and other duties, as assigned. Presents a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code. |

Work Experience Requirements |
A minimum of two years’ experience as a technician in a retail pharmacy preferred. Must have knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for filling prescriptions, as well as a working knowledge of inventory control. Must project a professional image and possess excellent communication skills. |

Education Requirements |
Must possess a High School Diploma and current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Texas. Pharmacy Technician Certification required.**Qualified candidate must submit to and successfully pass pre-employment screening which includes, but is not limited to, drug screen, back ground check and reference checks.** |
